Kevin served a 5 year apprenticeship during which time he attended Edinburgh's Telford College and achieved SVQ level 1,2 and an advanced certificate in carpentry and joinery. Towards the end of his apprenticeship he also successfully passed the CITB construction skills test.

During Kevin's time as an apprentice he worked as a bench hand joiner were he was involved in the construction of bars and reception counters. This kind of work required a high standard of finish which gives him the edge over his competitors in the quality of work he is able to produce, the old saying goes "A builder works to the nearest inch (cm) and a joiner works to the nearest sixteenth of an inch (mm) ".

After completing his apprenticeship Kevin went on to gain experience from other joinery companies before establishing his own business in 2006. KG Joinery Services is now in its 4th year of trading and is going from strength to strength. Kevin believes the reason for the success of his business is because "What you see is what you get" An honest, reliable and hardworking tradesman who is willing to go the extra mile to complete your project on time and within budget whether that involves him working late or weekends.

With KG Joinery Services firmly established and accounts held with most local suppliers Kevin can manage projects of all sizes. Kevin has managed to build a good relationship with such suppliers and therefore they are also on hand to offer any advice required.

Kevin' goals for his business are simple to provide you with the very best in joinery services and to continue providing a reliable joinery service you can count on for all your joinery needs for years to come. With a young son Kevin is hopeful he will carry on the business that he has created.
